Welcome to John & Maggie Thompson’s SolidGround Ministries website. This web site is designed to provide information about support ministries that we facilitate at First Baptist Church, Moore, Oklahoma. |

My wife and I have both experienced divorce. We met and married at FBC Moore. Several years ago, Maggie and I started facilitating DivorceCare. In 13 weeks we saw people’s lives change for the better right before our eyes. We had served in many lay positions, but rarely witnessed such a change in someone’s life in such a short period of time. From the very first group, we knew God had plans to use us to help rebuild broken lives. Even after many years, we still look forward to each new group. After a time we felt God leading us to expand our ministry to include marriage strengthening. Two years ago we started a HomeBuilders life group, where couples commit to spend a year working to learn skills to build a strong and lasting marriage. A year ago we added the Christian Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (CPREP). CPREP is a crash course designed to teach communication, intimacy, and other skills based on techniques discovered after many years of research. We have every confidence in all of these support programs and have seen them change lives and marriages. We look forward to meeting you. John & Maggie Thompson |
